Short CV / biography / description of scientific focus and achievements: 

Jaume Puigagut was doctorated in Biology from the University of Barcelona in 2007. He conducted a post-doc stage at l’Ecole Politecnique de Montreal from 2008 to 2009. Dr. Puigagut is currently holding a position of Associate Professor at the Tecnical University of Catalonia and conducts research and teaching activities within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Civil Engineering School. He has conducted research on biomonitoring and wastewater treatment in conventional and natural wastewater treatment systems. He has published so far a total of 31 scientific publications idexed in JCR. Most of the works published are within the domain of “Environmental engineering”, “Environmental Sciences” or “Water Resources. He has supervised two PhD thesis. He is currently involved in the application of bioelectrochemical systems in constructed wetlands for wastewater tretament improvement and process performance monitoring.
